India and Greece Discuss Trade Growth, Investment, and Supply Chain Collaboration
News: India and Greece have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral economic relations through enhanced trade, investment, industrial cooperation, and resilient supply chains.
During meetings in Greece, Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal held discussions with Development Minister Takis Theodorikakos.
Deputy Foreign Minister Haris Theoharis to expand collaboration in manufacturing, startups, emerging technologies, maritime connectivity, and strategic investments. Both sides also explored opportunities under the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) to boost regional connectivity and trade.
Bilateral trade between the two countries has grown steadily from USD 689 million in FY21 to USD 1.68 billion in FY25, with a shared goal of reaching USD 4 billion by 2030. The strengthened partnership is expected to unlock new opportunities across key sectors such as pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, agriculture, technology, tourism, and digitalisation.
