Industrial Warehousing Demand Up

News: India’s industrial and warehousing sector saw 22% year-on-year growth in demand during the January–March 2026 quarter, driven by strong leasing activity and momentum in logistics and e-commerce.

Total leasing reached around 11 million sq ft, with Delhi-NCR and Chennai leading demand.

Third-party logistics (3PL) players accounted for nearly one-third of leasing, while e-commerce and automobile sectors contributed about 32%. Cities like Hyderabad and Bengaluru also saw rising Grade A warehousing demand, supported by supply chain expansion and logistics modernisation.

While developers may remain cautious due to global uncertainties, the sector’s outlook remains positive, backed by manufacturing growth, policy support and increasing demand for high-quality warehousing infrastructure.
