CII Calls for Stronger Energy and Supply Chain Resilience
News: Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has urged Indian companies to strengthen energy security, protect jobs and build resilient supply chains amid disruptions from West Asia tensions.
It outlined a 12-point agenda focusing on strategic reserves, diversified sourcing, inventory buffers and price stability to manage rising fuel and logistics costs.
The industry body also called for passing cost benefits to consumers, supporting MSMEs through better payments and avoiding layoffs to maintain employment.
It emphasised accelerating investments in renewables and green energy to reduce long-term dependence on fossil fuels. The recommendations come as geopolitical risks threaten inflation, supply chains and India’s growth outlook, pushing industry toward proactive resilience and closer coordination with the government.
