Blue Dart and India Post Expand Delivery Reach
News: Blue Dart Express and India Post have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to expand Blue Dart’s delivery reach by combining its express logistics network with India Post’s postal infrastructure.
Shipments to additional locations, particularly Tier III and Tier IV towns and remote areas, will move through India Post’s network, supplementing Blue Dart’s existing coverage, with the expansion rolling out in phases.
The companies said the partnership gives businesses, including SMEs and e-commerce sellers, a scalable way to reach customers beyond their established markets, while customers in smaller towns get improved delivery access and convenience. The deal builds on an existing relationship between the two organisations.
For e-commerce sellers and SMEs targeting smaller-town and rural customers, a combined Blue Dart-India Post network offers broader last-mile reach without each company needing to build out parallel delivery infrastructure in low-density markets, a cost-effective expansion for one and a revenue-diversification opportunity for the other.
