Doval Calls for Stronger Regional Cooperation
News: National Security Adviser Ajit Doval has called for stronger regional collaboration to tackle growing security challenges, stressing that collective action is essential amid rising geopolitical uncertainties and global supply chain disruptions.
Speaking at the 5th BIMSTEC National Security Chiefs’ Meeting in New Delhi, Doval highlighted the increasing impact of multi-domain threats, including terrorism, cyberattacks, organised crime, maritime security risks, and supply chain vulnerabilities.
He said BIMSTEC member nations have strengthened cooperation across these critical areas and urged deeper coordination to enhance regional resilience. Reaffirming India’s Neighbourhood First, Act East, and MAHASAGAR vision, Doval emphasised that closer partnerships are vital for safeguarding economic stability, secure trade routes, and regional security. His remarks underscore the growing importance of international cooperation in building resilient supply chains and addressing emerging cross-border threats.
