India Shift to Intelligent Cloud-Driven Logistics
News: India’s logistics sector is reaching a turning point as cloud technology reshapes supply chains with real-time visibility and data-driven decision-making.
The global cloud logistics market is projected to grow from USD 22.13 billion in 2025 to USD 77.14 billion by 2035, with Asia Pacific expected to hold a 25% share.
In India, inefficiencies remain high, with over 90% of warehouses lacking dedicated supply chain software, contributing to logistics costs of 12–14% of GDP. Cloud platforms are helping improve visibility, warehouse utilisation, route planning, and operational efficiency.
However, adoption faces challenges, particularly for MSMEs, including cybersecurity risks, data privacy concerns, unstructured processes, and infrastructure limitations. Despite these hurdles, cloud logistics is emerging as a critical foundation for modern, resilient supply chains.
