India, Australia Expand Cooperation in Uranium Trade and Supply Chains

The two countries committed to enhancing energy security through greater trade in uranium, liquefied natural gas, liquid fuels, and renewable energy while supporting uninterrupted energy flows. They also agreed to accelerate negotiations for a Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA), strengthen resilient supply chains for emerging industries, and promote investment across the energy value chain. Both nations reaffirmed their commitment to open markets, rules-based trade, and Indo-Pacific cooperation amid geopolitical uncertainties. In addition, they pledged deeper collaboration on maritime security, clean energy, defence, and regional economic resilience.
