The group signed a final contract with Cochin Shipyard Limited to build six LNG-powered 1,700-TEU container vessels, each costing about $60 million, supporting greener shipping and domestic shipbuilding.
It also plans to invest up to $300 million to expand warehousing and integrated logistics through CEVA Logistics.
Additionally, CMA CGM aims to recruit up to 1,500 Indian seafarers by 2026, explore local container sourcing, and establish a digital R&D hub with Capgemini. The initiatives align with India’s maritime growth ambitions and emerging global trade corridors.
