Some companies face heat after Donald Trump's victory in U.S elections
News: After Donald Trump’s victory in the U.S. presidential election, companies like global appliance maker Breville are bracing for potential impacts from his trade policies. Given Trump’s history of imposing high tariffs on Chinese imports, many anticipate further tariff increases.
As a result, companies reliant on Chinese manufacturing, such as Breville, are preparing to shift production and adjust their inventory strategies to protect themselves from any new tariffs that may be introduced.
Breville, a major appliance brand selling products like espresso machines and toasters, sources most of its production from Shenzhen, China.
The company has established long-term relationships with Chinese manufacturers but now faces increased risks with Trump’s potential new tariffs, which could range from 10% to 100% on imports.
