Jaishankar Calls for Reliable Partners
News: External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, speaking at the India-Russia Business Forum in Moscow, stressed the importance of dependable partners, diversified markets, and secure supply chains amid global turbulence from Covid, conflicts, and economic shifts.
He warned against over-dependence on limited markets, narrow connectivity, and a few suppliers, highlighting the need for broader research into new opportunities and partnerships.
Referring to the time-tested India-Russia relationship, he said both nations must adapt cooperation to contemporary challenges while exploring new domains.
Jaishankar is on a three-day visit to Russia, where he co-chaired the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission (IRIGC-TEC) and will meet Russian FM Sergey Lavrov to review bilateral ties and discuss regional and global issues.
