India’s Warehousing & Logistics Sector Surges

News: India’s warehousing and logistics sector rebounded sharply in Q3 CY2025, with national absorption rising 64% QoQ to 9.2 million sq ft, though still 36% lower YoY.

Mumbai led the surge with 4.29 million sq ft—47% of total demand—registering a massive 377% QoQ jump.

NCR (1.28 million sq ft) and Chennai (1.13 million sq ft) also showed strong sequential growth, while Kolkata delivered its best-ever quarter at 1.26 million sq ft, up 950% QoQ.

Hyderabad posted moderate gains, whereas Pune and Bengaluru saw significant declines. According to Vestian, the revival is driven by e-commerce and 3PL demand, network optimisation, and increased preference for Grade-A warehousing, signaling a healthier outlook ahead.
