India’s Aerospace Supply Chain Soars from $250M to $2B
News: India’s aerospace supply chain is rapidly expanding, with Boeing sourcing over $1 billion in components annually, up from $250 million a decade ago, and Airbus planning $2 billion by 2030.
Domestic firms like Aequs, Azad Engineering, and Unimech Aerospace are moving from basic manufacturing to high-value production, securing long-term contracts with global OEMs.
The sector’s growth is supported by favorable tariffs (25%) and strong order books, with IPOs worth Rs 5,700 crore in the pipeline.
India is producing complex components and subassemblies, adding hundreds of SKUs annually, while aiming to increase its global supply chain share from 2% to 10%. Investor confidence and strategic expansions are driving India’s rise as a key aerospace hub.
