Andhra Pradesh Clears AP-LInC
News: Andhra Pradesh has approved the Andhra Pradesh Logistics Infrastructure Corporation (AP-LInC) to develop the State into a leading east-coast logistics hub.
AP-LInC will act as the central agency to integrate ports, airports, highways, waterways and cold-chain networks, reduce logistics costs and attract global investments.
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to upgrade infrastructure statewide and establish district logistics cells for stronger last-mile connectivity. The State also plans to set up a Logistics University and a Civil Aviation University.
With six operational ports and four more under construction, Andhra Pradesh aims to leverage its 1,050-km coastline, boost port-led development and raise logistics’ contribution to GSDP from 1% to 3%, reinforcing its vision as the “Gateway of the East Coast.”
